This served as a foundation to expand into strain gauge instrumentation, load cells, transducers, weighing modules and complete systems for process control and on‑board vehicle weighing.

We have a vacancy for a Customer Service Representative to play a key role in supporting our customers and providing the highest level of service possible.

Here at VPG we recognize the value of having a diverse workforce and welcome all candidates, however we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role at present.

The role

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in supporting the activities of the Service department by offering day‑to‑day support to the customers and internal departments, booking jobs for engineers and liaising with customers and ordering parts for engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls from customers and respond to inquiries.
  • Enter, acknowledge, and expedite service requests, setting expectations for the work carried out by service engineers.
  • Obtain purchase order numbers from customers where necessary.
  • Enter information provided by the customer into the engineers’ work calendar and internal system.
  • Maintain filing and general departmental administration duties.
  • Produce reports and other documents as deemed necessary.
  • Undertake, within reason, any other tasks within the department at the request of a supervisor, manager or director.
  • Assist with queries the engineers may require answering.

Requirements

  • Educated to high school level or above.
  • Team player with ability to prioritise.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Customer service experience.
