Monitoring stock and inventories of local warehouses, and planning quantities of parts and materials needed, with respect to production and delivery plans. Negotiating contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts, materials or services. Ensuring timely procurement and order management to ensure parts and materials are appropriately delivered Ensuring supplier performance reporting, announcing and clarifying claims, if necessary A job at this level... Supports/executes the procurement process for all parts, materials or services assigned, usually in a local (plant or site) organization. Regularly checks local inventories, and places respective orders with the supplier. Interacts with suppliers, forwarding agencies and own organization, to optimize the material flow, according to the plans Takes over operational management of claims and interacts with supplier to settle (routine) claims, if possible. Ensures proper administration and filing of all procurement cases, in the respective systems.role, you will work closely with stakeholders at all levels.Leading the procurement of indirect goods and services for the organisation, you'll drive added value through seeking best commercial value, delivery and service.**Key Responsibilities:*** **Purchase order Management:** Create, issue and manage purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with department policies and guidelines.* **Cost Optimization:** Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective, on time procurement solutions without compromising quality. Continuously evaluate cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices for procurement efficiency.* **Discrepant Non-Inventory Management:** Collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve problem receipts.* **New Supplier Setup:** Company POC instigating new supplier setup process and processing to final completion.* **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with production, quality control, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement activities with production needs and overall business objectives.* **Reporting:** Provide reports to internal customers as required Generating department KPIs.* Dealing with SAP queries for Purchasing related topics* Managing Low Level Contracts (below £25K pa)* Providing Out of Hours support on a rotational basis* Manage Invoice related queries**Qualifications:*** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or similar preferred. + Working towards CIPS or CPIM qualification desirable.* **Experience:** + Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.* **Skills & Abilities:** + Strong communication, and interpersonal skills. + Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. + Knowledge of procurement software within ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar). + Microsoft office proficient. + Ability to work effectively independently under pressure and manage competing priorities. + Understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management techniques.### Power your career as you power the world.Vishay helps the world’s most in-demand technologies come to life.
