The predicted salary is between 20000 - 30000 £ per year.

Systematically collecting, analyzing and evaluating information and data about target customers and their potentials. Utilizing the VISHAY Design Database to present the technical features, options for application and integration of products. Sampling, analyzing, calculating and completing technical aspects of proposals; providing respective quotes. Executing calculations and simulations, and analyzing customer's technical set-up for integration purposes. Adding value across the whole sales process to sales and customers with technical expertise and services.

A job at this level executes non-routine and case-specific technical analyses to support stakeholders (outside own team) and customers. Carries out thorough root-cause analysis of failures and provides the most effective solutions for a variety of incidents and malfunctions. Utilizes a range of technical procedures, methods and tools, as well as technical instructions effectively. Provides qualified support for the team (as 2nd level operations support instance) as first escalation point. Prepares maintenance schedules, responsibly cares for the working instructions, and other sorts of technical documentation. Performs independent judgement on subjects of relevance for the process assigned.

Typical activities will be supporting:

  • R&D teams and customers on eMobility WBG products and application technical enquiries
  • Device requirements for WBG power products and their applications
  • Methodologies to evaluate and characterise WBG power semiconductors in eMobility applications
  • Evaluating device and application models using tools such as Pspice, Simetrix and PLECS
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including R&D, marketing, sales, strategic partnerships and research institutions
  • Generation of training materials, demonstrations, evaluation boards, and application notes

Knowledge and Experience expected:

  • Studying an Electronics Engineering degree with a bias in Power Electronics
  • An interest in the application of Si-based and WBG power semiconductor technologies
  • Practical hands-on experience in electronic design, development, simulation, verification and validation
  • Knowledge of electronic devices and circuits and their application, including power devices, microcontrollers, programmable logic, switch mode power supplies, analogue and digital circuits
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify problems and opportunities for improvement and assess viable solutions
  • Effective communication skills, particularly the ability to articulate technical knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
