We are currently seeking applicants for a Senior / Staff Product Engineer AUTO . You will oversee all phases of product engineering, new product development, and production support for our Automotive MOSFET product line.
Job Location: The ideal candidate will work remotely in the Taipei, Taiwan area, known for its cultural diversity and culinary delights. Alternatively, you may work at Vishay offices in Newport, UK or San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities include:
- Technical ownership of new and established advanced commercial/industrial products within the Silicon MOSFET Division.
- Managing new product introduction from definition to release, liaising with various departments.
- Supporting product problem solving in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Defining technical presentations for product issues.
- Collaborating with global wafer fabrication and assembly operations for yield and quality improvements.
- Defining statistical test methods to optimize yield and reduce defects.
- Reviewing electrical and thermal characterization data and developing device datasheets.
- Supporting cost reduction through engineering evaluations and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or similar.
- 8+ years of product engineering experience, with knowledge of Discrete Power MOS semiconductors and Trench MOS technologies.
- Proven project management skills from product definition to datasheet release.
- Experience in building electrical and thermal product data sheets.
- Strong problem-solving skills using statistical data analytics and yield management software.
- Experience supporting offshore facility transfers.
- Familiarity with MOSFET ATE test methods is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate with international teams and travel as needed.
