This position is a strategic and integral part of the Vishay plant manufacturing management team, offering an exceptional opportunity to influence and drive financial excellence and innovation within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position is also critical in maintaining a control environment compliant with internal control policies and driving plant profitability.

What you will be doing

  • Reporting into the UK Country Controller (dotted line to Senior Director Division Controller)
  • Managing a team of 2 finance professionals – Inventory Controller and Senior Accountant. Investing in the growth and development of direct reports and other identified talents in the organization.
  • Responsibility for completion and control of all operational tasks within Finance
  • Owning the plant\’s monthly closing process in conjunction with direct reports including variance analysis and quarterly business reviews.
  • Lead the budget and forecasting processes, working with other business functions, to meet group requirements and deadlines set.
  • Ensuring SOX controls are adhered to including continuous improvement to establish stronger, more effective, internal processes and controls.
  • Review relevant monthly balance sheet accounts, ensure monthly reconciliations are completed on time for review and approval.
  • Directing the development of standard cost and future planning cost and ensuring alignment with operations and business unit partners.
  • Overseeing site capacity expansion planning, ROI analysis and scenario planning.
  • Supervise Inventory management and control.
  • Sharing best practices with other plants, including process improvements, financial modeling, and procedure changes.

What you will need

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing finance experience; semiconductor industry strongly preferred.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive experience with SAP ERP systems.
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge of manufacturing costing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to look beyond the numbers and translate the results in clear and concise manner.
  • IT literacy; advanced excel essential.
