Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, delivering impactful results for clients in issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers, and governments. The VCA Implementation Services (VIS) team focuses on implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data‑driven performance.

The role is a technology & solutioning leadership position. Success requires translating complex client problems into credible, scalable technology solutions, influencing senior stakeholders, enhancing pre‑sales and RFP activity, and building a supporting team and supplier ecosystem.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Technology Vision, Strategy & Architecture: Own VIS technology vision and roadmap, including short‑ and medium‑term plans for capability, talent, and partner coverage. Lead solution ideation and high‑level architecture, translating client business needs into pragmatic, implementable technology and integration designs. Act as the senior technology and systems integration authority across VIS engagements, remaining outcome‑focused rather than hands‑on in delivery. Support clients in assessing current‑state architectures and defining future‑state designs aligned to modern APIs, microservices, and scalable integration patterns. Define technical guardrails, integration patterns, and solution standards across Visa, client, and third‑party systems.
  • Pre‑Sales, Go‑To‑Market & Client Engagement: Play a pivotal role in presales and RFP processes, partnering with Sales, GTM, and Consulting leads to shape and sell technology‑led solutions. Lead senior client conversations and pitches with credibility, confidence, and commercial acumen. Develop and articulate clear solution propositions, including scope, delivery approach, value drivers, risk management, and implementation readiness. Act as a trusted senior counterpart to client Product, Technology, and Architecture leaders. Translate technical capability into clear client value propositions and solution narratives.
  • Strategic Agenda & Market Positioning: Drive the strategic technology agenda for VIS, informed by market trends, client demand, and Visa product strategy. Maintain a strong point of view on the payments and banking technology landscape, including processors, platforms, SaaS, and system integrators. Shape solution strategies that bridge top‑line influence and mid‑line solutioning. Influence internal product and platform roadmaps to ensure solutions can be deployed, integrated, and scaled effectively for clients.
  • Build, Scale & Lead the Function: Design and evolve the VIS technology operating model, including roles, governance, and engagement with Delivery and regional execution models. Build, grow, and develop a high‑impact, pan‑European technology leadership and implementation capability. Define role profiles, skills frameworks, progression paths, and onboarding for VIS technical talent. Create scalable team models to support multi‑market delivery and regional consistency. Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Refine and manage the partner ecosystem to ensure the right mix of capability to deliver at scale alongside VIS.
  • Delivery Oversight, Governance & Regional Outcomes: Maintain accountability for solution viability through delivery without owning day‑to‑day engineering execution. Ensure delivery teams are appropriately structured, governed, and supported to meet client outcomes. Own regional‑level outcomes rather than isolated programme delivery. Lead technical governance, manage escalations, and navigate complex client and internal environments.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

  • Commercially minded, using data, insight, and client context to shape decisions.
