b Overview /b p In this role, you will provide high-quality legal support to Visa’s European business on sourcing, outsourcing, and real estate matters. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external counsel to shape commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and vendor management. You’ll navigate complex regulatory regimes across Europe and contribute to efficient contract lifecycles and governance. This position offers the chance to influence strategic sourcing in a global payments leader and to grow within a diverse, inclusive team. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead complex sourcing and outsourcing matters across Europe, coordinating with stakeholders and senior leadership /li li Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including sourcing agreements, outsourcing arrangements, SLAs, and statements of work /li li Provide regulatory guidance on sourcing, outsourcing, and related arrangements under European regulators (e.g., BoE, FCA, ECB, DNB) /li li Support vendor onboarding and ongoing supplier management, including due diligence and contract lifecycle management /li li Negotiate property and facilities matters across Visa’s European real estate footprint (leases, licenses, fit-out, FM contracts) /li li Prepare materials (templates, playbooks, contract terms) and provide internal guidance /li li Identify need for external counsel and manage engagements within budgets /li li Flag competition/antitrust, data protection, and financial regulatory issues and coordinate with internal/external counsel /li li Build strong partnerships with legal and business teams to reflect business needs in advice and contracts /li li Develop understanding of the payments industry and Visa products to inform decisions and counsel /li li Manage day-to-day sourcing, outsourcing, and real estate legal queries /li li Provide training on law, processes, and policies to relevant business areas /li li Contribute to departmental planning, cohesion, and overall efficiency /li li Hybrid role requiring in-office presence in London on Tue–Thu /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li 8–12 years PQE as a qualified lawyer in England /li li Strong academic background /li li Extensive commercial legal experience with regulated entities; in-house experience preferred /li li Proven experience advising on commercial contracts, sourcing or outsourcing, and strategic contract negotiations /li li Some experience with property law is preferred /li li Strong collaboration, communication, and cross-disciplinary relationship skills /li li Ability to manage a busy, deadline-driven workload in a dynamic environment /li li Fluency in English; knowledge of payments industry or financial services regulation is advantageous /li li Experience with AI tools in a legal context /li /ul ul li collaboration /li li communication /li li problem-solving /li li commercial contracts drafting and negotiation /li li sourcing/outsourcing governance /li li regulatory awareness for financial services /li /ul
