Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for a portfolio of Visa Direct’s priority innovation initiatives. Visa Direct is Visa’s global money movement business, helping businesses, governments and consumers send and receive money around the world across cards, bank accounts and wallets.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced B2B product marketer who enjoys building in white space. You will set product marketing direction for emerging capabilities, shaping propositions and go-to-market strategy, bringing customer and market insight into product decisions, and turning complex products into clear, differentiated stories for clients and sellers.
You’ll need to be proactive, comfortable operating with ambiguity and confident using judgement to set priorities, influence decisions and create momentum as the business and market evolve. The role works as part of a Global Product Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Product Marketing and working closely with the Craft Lead for Product & Proposition Marketing. The role is based in London, with key business and Product stakeholders based in the US, requiring close collaboration across markets and time zones.
What you'll do:
- Lead product marketing strategy for priority innovation initiatives, setting direction from early market definition and proposition development through launch, adoption and optimization.
- Shape differentiated product propositions, defining customer value, positioning, messaging and proof points for complex and emerging capabilities.
- Bring the market into Product decisions, using customer, competitive and market insight to influence product-market fit, audience priorities, proposition development and market readiness.
- Set the go-to-market approach, determining priority audiences and use cases, GTM strategy, activation requirements and measures of success.
- Influence and mobilize cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships across Product, Commercialization, Sales, Marketing and regional teams to align priorities, resolve challenges and deliver outcomes.
- Create clarity and make sound decisions in ambiguity, identifying the questions that matter, setting priorities and driving work forward where there is no established playbook.
- Raise the quality of product marketing, applying and evolving best practices, frameworks and approaches that can be reused across priority innovation initiatives.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
- Significant B2B product marketing experience, with hands-on ownership of positioning, value propositions, messaging and go-to-market strategy for complex products or solutions.
- Demonstrated experience shaping product and commercial decisions through customer, competitive and market insight, rather than solely executing downstream marketing activity.
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives independently, creating structure, setting direction and building momentum where there is no established playbook.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and aligning cross-functional teams around a shared direction.
- Strong strategic, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics, make clear recommendations and communicate them credibly to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment and make considered trade-offs as business needs evolve.
- Digital fluency, including use of Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payments, fintech, financial services or enterprise technology.
- Knowledge of stablecoins, digital assets or other emerging payment technologies is advantageous, but not required.
- Experience taking a new or evolving proposition from market opportunity and early definition through market readiness, launch and adoption.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across functions, markets and time zones.
