Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team leads Visa's business in commercial payments. Our team provides an opportunity for Visa to diversify its revenue with differentiated products and solutions that deepen customer relationships and deliver innovative solutions across other networks. We are fuelled by a diverse team of talented team-members who continuously raise the bar on delivering best-in-class products and services to people all over the world. This role will report into the Head of Strategy and Commercial Operations in VCS Europe. VCS has high growth ambitions, we expect to more than double our business over the next five years. This is a unique opportunity to be part of expanding sales outside core Visa offerings in the fast-moving world of commercial payments.

This role will be key in execution of VCS's 2030 strategy, leading strategic initiatives, driving the annual strategy and planning process, providing business insights and analytics, and delivering ongoing performance reporting. It will be responsible for driving new strategic initiatives alongside day-to-day operations of the VCS organisation. Business payments are the largest untapped opportunity for Visa in Europe and this role is key to ensuring we have the right strategy and outstanding operations. This team will support both VCS EU and the Global B2B Travel team. We will be working in an agile environment so this person must be proactive in ensuring we achieve our goals, and skilled in pivoting and adjusting as new information and opportunities come to light.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Lead specific VCS strategic initiatives, galvanising the business to focus on and deliver against these opportunities.
  • Spend time on the topics which will move the needle for VCS in Europe and B2B Travel globally, for example, ecommerce strategy, supporting new client types, and exploring next generation product ideas.
  • Work collaboratively with the European VCS leadership and B2B Travel team on their highest priority initiatives.
  • Prepare high quality executive presentations including Quarterly Business Reviews for C-level audience.
  • Support on key client accounts including preparing materials for senior executive meetings and client pitches.
  • Work with other teams outside VCS to drive collaboration, for example, Finance, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Risk, Legal, Client Services.
  • Undertake operational work which may include, workforce planning, budget process, managing sales targets, and other activities.
  • As required, support on pipeline management.
  • Support the team with analytical insights using internal data sets to derive insights and build high quality presentation materials.
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and supporting functions, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes as well as to achieve overall objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with other functions, global product team, cross-functional stakeholders and partners.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Multiple years of proven strategy experience in a strategy consulting, corporate strategy or similar environment.
  • Knowledgeable about payments and the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial payments (desired not essential).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with ability to persuade people.
  • Strong quantitative skills with an ability to be highly precise but also keep the big picture.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and in a matrixed organisation.
  • Ability to switch priorities quickly and react as the situation requires.
  • Resilient when unexpected challenges emerge and low ego with willingness to undertake all challenges for the team's success.
  • The ideal candidate will bring passion for and interest in Commercial Payments, Fintech, and a hunger to find new opportunities.
