Job Description

The Senior Director, Strategic Sales and Partnerships (Europe) will lead a high-performing team to drive growth for Visa Acceptance Solutions across the European region. This role focuses on expanding our footprint with traditional and emerging non-financial institution acquirers, strengthening existing acquirer partnerships, and accelerating our commercial partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering revenue growth through strategic sales engagements, partnership development, and market execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead large-scale, strategic sales and partnership engagements with C-suite executives at key acceptance partners across Europe.
  • Develop and execute account strategies in collaboration with specialist sales teams and cross-functional Visa stakeholders to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Drive commercial and relationship management for ISV partnerships, supporting portfolio growth and enhanced value propositions for acquirers.
  • Develop and implement revenue acceleration programs for acquiring and reselling partnerships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on deal negotiation, commercial strategy, and value proposition messaging for both specialist and generalist sales teams.
  • Refine and promote the IDDEA sales methodology for acceptance partners in the region.

Partner Strategy & Enablement

  • Build and execute frameworks to support and grow existing acquirer partnerships, providing tools and strategies to drive their business success.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient partner activation, technical enablement, and training, accelerating operational efficiencies and revenue realization.
  • Capture and communicate new product requirements, supporting business case development for market needs.

Market Strategy & Analytics

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to ensure accurate business planning, forecasting, and territory management, aligned with cluster and regional strategy.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to increase Visa\'s share of wallet within acquirer portfolios and client engagements.
  • Lead analytics, reporting, and market sizing efforts for partner performance and regional growth opportunities.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Develop and monitor KPIs and reporting dashboards to track partner performance and progress against goals.
  • Refine partner marketing priorities and messaging in collaboration with marketing and client delivery teams.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in payments, digital commerce, or financial technology sales/partnership roles, preferably within the European market.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic, C-suite-level sales engagements and complex partnership negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of acquirer and ISV business models and the digital commerce ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated track record for structuring long term strategic commercial partnerships
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and deliver results in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
