Visa is searching for the Senior Director for Visa Direct Product, Sponsored Model. This leader plays a crucial role in driving efficiency and growth in Visa Direct and will have end-to-end accountability for product development and management, including identifying and prioritizing ideas, discovery, inception, implementation, product launch, post launch enhancements, pivots, and sunsetting products and features. They are responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and managing roadmap and backlog for their product, and establishing Visa as a trend setter in the real time payment industry. This role can have product leaders and product managers reporting to them.

To deliver on these objectives, this role requires deep collaboration across the entire enterprise. The Senior Director of Product will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including technology, sales and account management, solutioning, operations, compliance, and other teams across Visa, as well as external vendors, industry groups, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Stay up to speed with the latest developments and trends in the FX brokers, payments and embedded banking industry and identify emerging opportunities and threats for Visa Direct.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive strategic conversations for the suite of Sponsored model within Visa Direct family, with appreciation to commercial, risk, regulatory, build and operational angles.
  • Drive product lifecycle from ideation to launch, enhancement, and sunset, collaborating with Market, Strategy, Technology, Operations, Risk, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Network functions.
  • Ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in on-time and on-budget product delivery.
  • Create an environment that fosters a relentless focus on customer and market needs.
  • Define and monitor metrics for the products launched, build broad buy-in with persuasive, data-driven analysis of product usage and customer needs, and drive continuous product development.
  • Develop and grow a high-performing team, with deep industry knowledge and expertise, lead, and coach a team of product managers to solve challenging customer and market problems.
  • Champion Visa values across the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in product development with a track record of developing and improving products, in regulated payments or financial services sectors. Embedded banking or neobanks / payment wallet experience highly beneficial. They possess a deep expertise in the fintech, particularly payment accounts and cross border payments, with appreciation to the evolving global regulations and user expectations, competitive dynamics, and technological advancements. They are fluent in both commercial angle of the products, defining value proposition and overarching strategy, as well as operational and technical details of developing products. They have appreciation of the end-to-end capabilities required to bring successful products to market and can drive efficient prioritization, understanding dependencies and organizational needs end to end. They have experience of building and leading successful team of product managers. The ideal candidate has experience of working in a large matrixed organization. They should be a natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence. S/he will be comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels of the organization, internal and external, to Visa.

Role is full time and based in London. This position requires travel 10% of the time.
