About the Product & Experience Design Advisory Team (PXD) at VCA :
The Product & Experience Design Advisory Team (PXD) makes Visa partners stand out by designing innovative products and best-in-class experiences that give them a powerful competitive advantage in the marketplace. As part of Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Visa\’s advisory arm PXD provides data-driven, expert analysis to issuers, acquirers, merchants, FinTechs, and other partners to help them stay current on payment trends and consumer behaviors.
This Product & Experience Design Manager position will join an emerging design advisory team, working alongside senior and junior product and UX designers based in London and Berlin. The team\’s purpose is to help grow our clients\’ businesses all across Europe through a consultative approach to experience and product design.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead product design within consulting projects: advise on customer research, translate insights into personas and opportunities, facilitate co-creation workshops, and define new product propositions and improvements.
- Advise Visa clients on innovative product propositions and product improvement opportunities to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Collaborate with PXD UX/UI designers to transform product propositions into exceptional client-facing product experiences.
- Engage with both FinTech and traditional clients (issuers, acquirers, lenders, merchants, B2B partners) to identify and act on market opportunities.
- Lead and facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions with multidisciplinary teams, applying user-centric design methodologies.
- Support strategic client pitches and consulting projects, including the development of commercial proposals.
- Promote innovation and customer centricity by institutionalising agile practices and fostering a design-driven culture.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Visa\’s product and capabilities roadmaps to ensure regional alignment with the VCA Europe strategy.
- This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What we\’d like from you :
- Proven experience in Product Management, Product Design, or Design Consultancy, with strong client-facing experience.
- Significant background in the payments industry and, or financial services, with a deep understanding of digital transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product roadmaps and define product requirements that meet both client and market needs.
- Hands-on expertise in human-centered design, user research, prototyping, and facilitation.
- Solid knowledge of user-centric design principles and UX design methodologies.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, InVision) and presentation/storytelling tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote).
- Excellent facilitation, storytelling, and presentation skills, with experience leading co-creation sessions.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Able to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Proactive communicator, experienced in presenting to all levels of stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the UK and Europe up to 50% of the time.
- Prior consulting experience in high-growth business environments is preferred.
- Business fluency in both German and English (spoken and written).
