Visa Direct is a set of solutions that Visa provides to facilitate money movement across cards, accounts and wallets, enabling a wide range of use cases across domestic and cross-border payments for consumers, businesses, financial institutions, merchants and governments.

This role will sit within the Visa Direct Global Commercialization organization and focus on early-stage solution development across emerging proposition verticals with cross-functional and/or cross-platform dependencies where structure and ownership need to be defined. Role is designed to identify, incubate, validate, and de-risk new ideas commercially, operationally, and execution-wise until they are ready to scale and transition into BAU.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape some of Visa Direct's newest growth areas in global remit. The role holder will work on strategic solutions at an early stage of maturity, helping define the business case, value proposition, operating model, stakeholder alignment, and execution path required to take new ideas from concept to scalable deployment. Examples of scope may include any use case, type of flows, and cover wide arrange of the solutions i.e. from stablecoin related initiatives to Visa Direct overlay service.

The role requires a unique combination of commercialization, solution development, business analysis, and execution leadership. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in ambiguity, building structure where none exists, and working cross-functionally across product, sales, market teams, legal, risk, compliance, and technology to turn new opportunities into scalable propositions.

This is a fast-paced and highly strategic role for a candidate with strong payments expertise, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to move fluidly between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Early-Stage Solution Incubation: Lead the incubation of new Visa Direct propositions that are at an early stage of maturity and do not yet have a defined operating structure and commercialization model. Help shape these opportunities from concept through validation and readiness for scale.
  • Opportunity Assessment and Business Case Development: Evaluate new solution ideas by assessing market need, client demand, commercial viability, operational feasibility, and strategic relevance. Define the business case, opportunity sizing, target use cases, and conditions required for successful scale-up.
  • Solution Development and Validation: Act as a thought leader in the development and validation of emerging Visa Direct solutions. Articulate the value proposition for internal and external stakeholders, identify key dependencies, and drive alignment on the required product, operational, and go-to-market components.
  • Commercialization Strategy: Develop initial go-to-market and commercialization strategies for new propositions, including developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products and platforms. This will include the following components... ensure each solution is positioned for scalable and sustainable growth.
  • Business Analysis and Project Management: Lead product interrelated project tasks and associated deadlines to ensure that they are met.
  • Execution and De-Risking: Drive end-to-end execution across early-stage initiatives to validate commercial, operational, and implementation readiness. Identify delivery risks, execution gaps, ownership needs, and model improvements required to de-risk each proposition before transition into the core operating model.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with global and regional teams across product, sales, client services, partnerships, treasury, legal, compliance, risk, finance, and technology to align priorities, mobilize resources, and advance new initiatives through the incubation lifecycle.
  • Product and Platform Input: Translate market and proposition needs into clear product and platform requirements. Provide feedback into the broader Visa Direct roadmap to support enhancements relevant to emerging solutions across cards, accounts, and wallets.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage a broad group of internal and external stakeholders across global and regional teams. Build alignment around priorities, roles, timelines, and success metrics in an environment where ownership models may still be evolving.
  • Transition to Long-Term Ownership: Support its transition into the appropriate long-term owner within product, market, or functional teams and ensure knowledge transfer, execution continuity, and operating readiness.
  • Client and Partner Engagement: Participate in selected client and partner conversations to validate demand, refine use cases, support solution positioning, and help advance commercialization opportunities where relevant.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications
  • In-depth experience in payments, financial services, or fintech, with deep exposure to commercialization of platforms and solutions across cards, accounts, wallets, and/or real-time payments.
  • Proven track record leading complex, cross‐functional initiatives from ambiguity to scalable execution.
  • Strong commercial judgment with the ability to evaluate trade-offs across revenue, cost, risk, and scalability.
  • Deep understanding of risk, compliance, treasury, legal, and regulatory considerations in payment solution deployment.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes without formal authority.
