Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world‑class commercial organization experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core solutions.

Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.

Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi‑Nationals and Governments.

We work closely with Issuers, Merchants, Fin Techs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.

We believe the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world.

As regulatory frameworks such as e IDAS2 and initiatives such as the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet reshape how credentials, authentication, and payment initiation are orchestrated, Visa has an opportunity to play a broader role beyond traditional payment flows.

This role will help translate these developments into strategic direction, solution concepts, and ecosystem engagement priorities for VCS.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager, solution lead, or strategy‑oriented professional with a good understanding of both the business and technical dimensions of payments and digital identity.

This role requires strategic thinking, innovation, collaboration, and structured problem‑solving.

The successful candidate will bring experience working across complex ecosystems, engaging with clients and partners, and shaping perspectives on emerging trends in B2B payments, authentication, and payment initiation.

They should be hands‑on, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and able to influence stakeholders through clear thinking and practical solutioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop VCS perspectives on digital identity, wallets, authentication, and payment initiation, and help shape strategic responses to emerging ecosystem developments.
  • Assess regulatory, market, and partner developments and translate them into implications for VCS products, client solutions, and ecosystem positioning.
  • Define solution concepts and use cases that connect digital identity wallets, ERP and ISV platforms, and card‑ and account‑based payment flows within Visa’s commercial product landscape.
  • Identify key capability gaps, dependencies, and integration opportunities across Visa capabilities, including authentication, payment initiation, tokenisation, and commercial card use cases.
  • Engage with issuers, wallet providers, ERP and ISV platforms, fintechs, and other ecosystem partners to understand emerging use cases, requirements, and integration models.
  • Participate in industry forums, pilots, and working groups to support Visa’s engagement with evolving identity and payment ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, regional, and cross‑functional teams to support client conversations, inform solutioning approaches, and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
  • Lead discovery sessions and workshops with clients and partners to capture requirements, business workflows, and value drivers.
  • Develop supporting materials, including solution playbooks, briefing papers, and internal discussion documents, to drive alignment and engagement.
  • Act as a subject matter contributor on the convergence of identity, authentication, and payments, supporting internal stakeholder discussions and leadership engagement.
  • Present insights, solution perspectives, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office; expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience in product management, solutioning, sales engineering, strategy, or a related field.
  • A deep understanding of B2B payments, digital identity, and authentication, including SCA and PSD2, EMVCo and 3DS flows, and tokenisation concepts.
  • Familiarity with payment initiation concepts, including card‑based and account‑to‑account flows, and emerging wallet‑enabled payment experiences.
  • Ability to translate evolving technical, regulatory, and ecosystem developments into clear business implications and solution concepts.
  • Experience working with or alongside external ecosystem partners, such as issuers, fintechs, ERP and ISV platforms, or technology providers.
  • Experience with modern API concepts, technical integration, and file‑based delivery models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving environments, with a proactive, collaborative, and flexible mindset.
  • Passion for working with clients and developing practical, high‑impact solutions.
  • Familiarity with e‑invoicing ecosystems and related B2B workflow models.
