Job Description and Responsibilities
Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team creates and delivers products to Visa's Commercial clients. VCS provides an opportunity for Visa to diversify revenue with differentiated products that deepen customer relationships and deliver innovation across networks. VCS has ambitious growth plans, with the expectation to more than double the business over the next five years. A key part of this growth will come from small businesses, where we will accelerate growth in new, untapped or high opportunity areas including credit. This role will be responsible for driving sales opportunities with fintechs and non-traditional issuer types. The role provides a unique opportunity to shape Visa's European SMB strategy, working in partnership with our product teams, clients and Visa's enabler partners. This is a senior, Director-level position. In addition to deep payments knowledge, the successful applicant will be strategic, creative and commercial.
What You Will Do
- Lead strategic / pan-EU client conversations/opportunities with fintechs, telcos and other new and emerging client segments
- Identify and prioritise target players to engage, including fintechs, FIs and ISVs, driving the credit pipeline in Europe
- In partnership with the VP, Head of SMB, build out our SMB sales strategy, ensuring we have the right customer value propositions and commercials to win, leveraging the breadth of 'one Visa' capabilities and partnerships
- Develop the SMB credit sales strategy & plan for Europe to accelerate Visa's growth & increase market share in credit (including credit cards/portfolios, services & partnerships)
- Conduct research, market mapping, and opportunity sizing to identify areas where Visa can add differentiated value
- Be the deep subject-matter expert on SMB credit
Qualifications
- Senior-level experience in fintech or banking with a focus on client-facing SMB sales, solutioning or business development roles
- Deep knowledge of SMB payments, working capital, supply chain finance or related areas, including existing capabilities, SMB needs, market landscape, commercial models
- Proven track record taking strategy and value propositions from ideation to execution, including driving GTM and pipelines
- Strong commercial acumen with the desire to own and drive sales success
- Strong relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholders
- Comfort working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
- Fluency in English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in another language viewed favourably
