Pismo is Visa’s next‑generation core banking and processing platform, enabling innovative card issuing, accounts, and payments capabilities globally. As Visa accelerates Pismo’s expansion in Europe, this role leads the strategic growth agenda, market prioritisation, commercial GTM design, and shaping of the regional business plan. This role forms part of Visa’s EU Issuing Solutions, a high-growth, multi-billion-dollar business unit within Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building and commercializing products that improve issuing bank processing and cardholder experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Market Prioritisation: Define and implement the European expansion strategy for Pismo across issuing, core banking, and processing. Develop frameworks for market assessment, prioritisation, segmentation, and entry strategy, grounded in regulatory, commercial, competitive, and technical insights. Build robust business cases and strategic narratives to influence global product roadmap and investment prioritisation. Support and participate in strategic deals or complex RFPs, ensuring feedback loops into overall strategy.
  • Visa Ecosystem Expansion: Identify and drive opportunities for Visa’s wider product ecosystem (e.g., Risk and Identity, Loyalty, Data, Digital Enablement, Network Products, Consulting), alongside positioning and support for 3rd party solutions. Develop a clear roadmap for ecosystem partnerships, integrations, and bundled propositions connecting Pismo with VAS and Network capabilities. Collaborate with clusters, regional leads, partnership teams, and external partners to create propositions that drive multi product growth.
  • Performance, Planning And Commercial Foresight: Own and input into regional strategic planning cycles for Pismo: revenue planning, scenario modelling, portfolio strategy. Establish governance structures (steercos, working groups) to support strategic alignment across Visa. Shape pricing frameworks, commercial models, and revenue forecasts for Pismo growth in Europe. Analyse market and pipeline signals to adjust strategy and inform leadership decision making.

Qualifications

Essential: Extensive experience in strategy, GTM, product management, or business development within payments, issuer processing, core banking, or fintech. Proven track record of building and executing GTM strategies for SaaS, platform, or B2B payment solutions. Experience shaping and influencing product roadmaps with structured business cases, commercial insight and market evidence. Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities; able to craft compelling propositions and rally cross‑functional teams. This includes being comfortable operating at a strategic level alongside being involved in detailed discussions with technical teams to define solutions. Highly effective operating in matrixed environments with senior stakeholders across regions and functions. Deep analytical and strategic thinking skills; comfortable with ambiguity and complex problem‑solving. Excellent commercial skills: market sizing, pricing, forecasting, and business model design.

Preferred: Familiarity with Visa’s product ecosystem, issuing value chain, and value‑added services. Understanding of issuer processing, core banking architecture, and European regulatory and payments landscapes. Experience working on multi country platform rollouts in Europe. Exposure to partnerships, integrations or GTM product eco systems.
