Job Description
What\’s it all about?
The Design and Development Director will work on Europe\’s largest, most strategic deals (including RFPs, renewals, proactive offers) as part of the European Deal Value Propositions Team, within the Revenue and Commercial Operations (RCO) function.
This role is primarily accountable for:
Producing world-class, client-centric and engaging deal responses through in-depth knowledge of the Client organisation (including branding and corporate voice). Working with the Value Proposition team to bring to life the end-to-end, cross-functional response from Visa Europe in a concise, compelling way through Visual Storytelling.
The European Deal Team will consist of Programme Managers (responsible for the end-to-end running of a deal), Value Proposition team (responsible for defining the deal narrative and win themes), and the Design & Development Director (responsible for storytelling in a visually engaging way, including architecting the end-to-end story in a tailored and client-customised manner).
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Attending deal response shaping sessions from initiation to get a full understanding of the narrative, win themes and solutions being put forward.
- Defining the approach for deal responses from a Design perspective, including digital, physical and experiential client engagement strategies.
- Visual storytelling through the production of world-class, client-centric materials that demonstrate Visa\’s thought leadership and understanding of each client.
- Researching each client to ensure hyper-customised materials that are in line with the organisation\’s branding and corporate tone.
- Architecting an end-to-end storyline with highly customised materials.
- Engaging with agencies and defining requirements where work cannot be completed in-house (e.g. specific graphic design/video requirements).
- Enhancing and maintaining the Deal Hub in Compass, a library of best practices and best-in-class templates available to the sales teams.
- Keep abreast of global innovation and design trends through close connection to the EU Product Design team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
For this role, the key skills required are:
- Extensive experience in graphic design, UI/UX design.
- Experience of visual storytelling in a complex environment, shaping end to end with limited direction.
- Proficiency in Figma to ideate, design and prototype CX flows.
- Must be proficient in Adobe CC Master Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD.
- Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects desirable.
- Animation and video production experience.
- Advanced MS Office experience.
- Knowledge of Visa Products and Solutions (or broader Payments industry knowledge) desirable.
- Commercial acumen (previous experience working on deals/RFPs desirable).
- Cool and calm under pressure with a high level of resilience, comfortable working in environments with high levels of ambiguity, with high integrity and EQ, and an authentic and inclusive style that brings gravitas and symbolises the Visa leadership principles.
- Deeply experienced in establishing and growing high-trust and high-performance relationships and team environments.
- Tremendous oral and written communication skills, able to craft compelling communications in short time frames with editorial prowess.
- Highly organised, structured and resourceful, bringing clarity, focus and energy to initiative execution. Subject matter and solution orientated, with a pragmatic, \’can do\’ approach, with experience of delivering through others. Exceptional facilitation skills (written and oral).
