The Sr Manager - Product Engagement and Solution Design is responsible for technical solutioning, client engagement, and acting as the voice of the customer for Visa Commercial Solutions. This role supports sales teams and regional solution specialists in delivering deep product knowledge, designing solutions for client needs, and driving adoption of Visa's B2B payment capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales solutioning for Visa Commercial Solutions suite of virtual card, data-driven, and agentic offerings, encompassing virtual card platforms, integrated APIs, and advanced data services.
- Support pre-sales engagement with key distribution partners (issuers, enablers, service providers, FinTechs, ERPs), understanding SMB and Large-Middle Market needs and use cases.
- Collaborate with sales teams and clients to identify best-in-class ways to implement products, close deals, and capture requirements for further development.
- Lead solution design for opportunities to advance Visa's B2B and embedded payment offerings.
- Conduct discovery sessions and workshops with financial institutions and technology providers to understand client requirements and value drivers.
- Develop solution playbooks and assess regional solution fit versus global extensibility.
- Act as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, use cases, and roadmap, support stakeholder questions and communicate product vision.
- Rationalize product enhancement requests and develop business requirements for new use cases.
- Create product documentation and contribute to key artifacts such as Service Activation Guides and Client Implementation Guides.
- Confidently present and articulate the business value of proposed solutions to leaders and executives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- 8+ years of relevant sales engineering or product management experience (product experience beneficial, but focus is on consulting and solution enablement).
- Solid understanding of B2B payments, with in-depth knowledge of virtual card payments, value-added solutions for corporates, payment tokenization, and issuer processing platforms/providers.
- Proven ability to translate client needs into solution designs by adapting existing products and services.
- Experience with modern API concepts, technical integration, and file delivery.
- Proven ability to manage initiatives end-to-end to meet client commitments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Willingness to take on new challenges, explore new ideas, and be flexible with changing priorities.
- Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for working with clients and delivering powerful solutions.
