The role will support the Head of Acceptance Solutions Strategy & Ops, who reports to the SVP / GM of the business unit globally. Core responsibilities include research, commercial analysis, long-term planning, and strategic partner management. The Manager will serve as a key bridge between Visa and external partners (ISVs, Fintechs, PSP, etc.), helping to identify partnership opportunities, support commercial negotiations, and go-to-market activities (pipeline management). You will ensure that our partner relationships are not just signed, but are generating value, aligned with our P&L goals, and equipped with the right technical and commercial support. Strong candidates are relationship-builders who are comfortable navigating contracts, enjoy external-facing engagement, and possess the analytical rigor to measure partnership success.
Responsibilities
- Partner Management & Engagement: Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners; handle relationships with external counterparts to deepen the partnerships and collaborations.
- Commercial Negotiation Support: Support the negotiation of commercial agreements and contracts; work closely with Legal, Product, and Sales to structure deals that drive mutual value.
- Integration & Onboarding: Manage the post-signature onboarding process by coordinating with Visa's product and integration teams.
- Performance Analysis: Build and maintain robust metrics/dashboards to track partner performance (revenue, volume, adoption).
- Market Intelligence: Scout the landscape for new partnership opportunities (e.g., emerging fintechs or software players) that align with the Acceptance Solutions strategy.
- Strategic Support: Assist the broader Strategy team with research and material creation for executive presentations, specifically regarding the "Partner vs Build" analysis.
Key Competencies
- External Presence: Confidence in presenting to and negotiating with external stakeholders; ability to represent Visa in partner meetings.
- Commercial Acumen: Understanding of deal structures, revenue models, and contract terminology.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple partner workstreams simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and launch dates are met.
- Collaborative & Diplomatic: Ability to navigate internal matrixed organizations (Sales, Product, Legal) to get deals done.
Experience & Education
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD. Experience: 3-5 years of experience. Background: Experience in Business Development, Partnerships, Account Management, or Management Consulting with a focus on commercial execution. Industry: Experience in the payments, management consulting, corporate strategy or fintech is highly preferred.
