You engage in automation activities, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation. Responsibilities include:
- OpenShift/Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling and management of containerized applications.
- Working with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform etc.)
- Scripting and automation skills converting manual and maintenance functions into fully orchestrated automation.
- Partnering with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support for all Visa business lines.
- Adherence to established ITIL practices such as Incident, Change, Problem and Release Management.
This is mostly an in-office position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science / computer engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- Six months of Unix/Linux system administration/Containers experience preferred.
- Scripting knowledge/experience (Python).
- Knowledge in Cloud platforms preferred (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform etc.).
- Knowledge in Configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform etc.).
- Basic understanding of ITIL v4 processes such as Incident, Change, Problem and Release Management.
- Good knowledge of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Good understanding of Software Engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Ability to understand and adopt processes, project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
