Salary: £30-£32K Per Annum
Working days / hours: 42 hours within a 5 to 6 day week
Benefits & Entitlements: 28 days paid holiday (pro rata), employer’s pension contribution, Chef’s uniform and meals on duty.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of complex Tandoori dishes.
- Training and supervising junior Chefs.
- Purchasing & dealing with suppliers.
- Stock control.
- Quality checks.
- Health & hygiene compliance.
- Monitoring food safety & temperatures and maintaining cleanliness within work areas.
- Care and maintenance of specialist Tandoori equipment.
- Cost analysis and review.
- Preparing reports and schedules and performing key duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is necessary.
- Previous experience – 3 years+ working within an Indian kitchen.
- Extensive proven previous experience at required skill level.
- At least 3 years culinary expertise in Indian/Nepalese cuisine.
- Good communication skill.
- Good English.
- A flexible attitude.
- Enthusiastic about food and hospitality industry.
- Team player.
