Senior Staff Designer

Visa is seeking an experienced senior designer to work within its newly created Showcase Design team that focuses on bringing to life payment experiences for executive events, keynote mainstage presentations, and global deals.

The right candidate has world-class design skills across digital mediums and is a conceptual thinker beyond obvious solutions. This person should be willing to challenge the status quo to reach an end goal of a fresh, impactful, user-friendly, and modern design standard. Our creative should be bold, relevant, and cut through the noise in today’s world of content and creative inundation.

What we expect of you, day to day

• Learn and internalize Visa\’s business, products, and payment ecosystems.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, capture requirements, design flows and wireframes.
• Manage and participate in the production of new and existing content, supporting on-brand guides and templates where needed.
• Exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• Document, organize, and manage Figma asset libraries.
• Sample asset types include presentation materials (PowerPoint, Keynote, Figma), CX flows, infographics, animation/motion graphics/video storyboards, interactive demos.
• Design visual and narrative content through creative storytelling.
• Communicate complex product and technical topics in an easy-to-understand visual way.
• Collaborate closely with in-house design teams and external partners.
• Design content with users and humans at the forefront.
• Demonstrate outstanding art direction skills across various media including digital, events, and video, with a focus on clean, modern design suitable for the Fintech world.
• Have an expert understanding of designing for animation, motion graphics, and video.
• Mentor and guide junior staff.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

What we\’re after…

• Education: Bachelor\’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of professional design experience, focusing on product marketing and sales enablement.
• Tools and Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Sketch, Figma, and other relevant tools. Experience with motion graphics software is a plus.
• Design Skills: Strong skills in print, digital, static, and motion design. Expertise in visual storytelling, infographics, animation, video production, and motion graphics.
• Industry Knowledge: Optional experience in the Fintech industry or a related field, with an understanding of Fintech design aesthetics.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to explain complex product and technical topics visually. Comfortable presenting to large groups.
• Creativity and Innovation: Proven ability to challenge the status quo and develop modern, user-friendly design standards.
• Branding and Guidelines: Ability to extend visual systems and brand guidelines across all mediums.
• Experience in creating on-brand guides and templates.
• Animation: Knowledge of animation best practices and ability to contribute to motion standards within a design system.
