The Senior Director, Acceptance Sales for Europe will be responsible for leading a team of sellers across the region, focusing on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through new business development. This role will focus on selling VAS Products that meet the needs of buyers within specific client segments like acquirers, merchants, payment facilitators, processors, digital partners, and software providers who fold payments into their offerings. This role reports to the VP, Acceptance Sales Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Sales Team: Directly manage a regional team of sales and business development managers. Ensure high performance, team cohesiveness, and individual seller development. Develop market coverage model and future talent pipeline. Conduct regular pipeline review and problem-solving sessions with salespeople to overcome obstacles in client plans. Enable sales acceleration and prioritise activities with high potential client targets, use cases, industry segments, etc. Build strong relationships with market and cluster colleagues to help deliver value to new and existing Visa clients. Exceed aggressive sales targets for Visa Acceptance Solutions in Europe. Drive teams to create a high-value pipeline for new business and upsells. Lead teams through the sales cycle from prospecting through close. Achieve quarterly bookings and revenue goals. Deploy resources for optimal growth across a wide set of opportunities. Establish consistent, effective processes that incorporate the use of proven sales methodologies. Ensure the rollout and adoption of sales best practices.
- Client Engagement: Align client goals and timelines, executive engagement, and the effective delivery of value propositions. Work with cross-functional partners to ensure resources are available for client success. Facilitate the capture and communication of client feedback on products and services to inform product evolution.
Proven track record of success in fast-paced sales environments with demanding timelines. Strong organisational savvy and interpersonal skills to build fast rapport and credibility. Experience in developing and leading a diverse high performing sales team. Ability to interact comfortably with C-suite executives and junior team members alike. Payments Industry experience in selling to merchants and acquirers.
