Job Description
The Product Intake Senior Manager is responsible for managing the intake, review, and prioritization of new ideas and solutions using the Jira Align Ideation tool. Utilizing the Ideation process to assist in building out requirements and business cases for new product development ideas. Driving demand and prioritising accordingly. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the most valuable and strategically aligned ideas are identified and executed upon. The scope of the Intake will include all Ideas generated by the regional sales and solution teams representing client, country and strategic initiatives.
What we expect you to do, day to day:
- Manage the intake of new ideas and solutions using the Jira Align Ideation tool.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to encourage the submission of new ideas.
- Review and assess the potential impact, cost, and alignment with strategic objectives of each idea.
- Prioritize ideas using the Jira Align Ideation tool's scoring system based on predefined criteria.
- Move the most valuable and strategically aligned ideas into the product backlog for development.
- Partner with the Idea originator and product portfolio leads to drive the prioritisation of the demand in the Quarterly Execution Planning process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, regional solutions, sales, and customer service to ensure timely and successful product releases.
- Regularly review and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with product strategy and goals.
- Review project schedules with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by project activities.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with senior management and stakeholders on project status, issues, and risks.
- Measure and analyse product performance and customer engagement metrics to inform product strategies.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in product management or a related role.
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Experience with Jira Align Ideation tool or similar ideation management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box to find creative solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Strong project management and time-management skills.
- Proficient in product management software and MS Office Suite.
