Director, SMB Solutions Specialist (UK&I)

  • Own the UK&I Small and Medium Business strategy and go-to-market, partnering with key stakeholders including UK and Europe business development and product teams
  • Identifying new potential clients
  • Designing market-leading client propositions
  • Acting as an SMB subject matter expert in client pitches
  • Identifying SMB whitespace, sales acceleration opportunities and maintaining an up-to-date view of SMB pipeline shape
  • Lead SMB activities with existing clients, supporting Account Executives, including:
    • Designing new client propositions or enhancements to existing propositions, including bringing together a ‘One Visa’ solution for SMBs e.g Tink, Visa Direct
    • Identify and own any cluster/market specific offers and partnerships
    • Support existing client growth, including driving visibility of migrations, client performance, and activation and optimisation opportunities
    • Drive SMB client account and strategic planning sessions
  • Contribute to the overarching European and Global SMB solution roadmap and strategy
  • Ensure market readiness / fit when new solutions or products are launched, and support the localisation of collateral and GTM
  • Partner with Visa marketing and consulting teams to develop and deliver marketing campaigns which build Visa’s SMB brand in cluster

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

  • The successful applicant will have extensive experience in SMB proposition development, sales or other client-facing roles
  • Deep knowledge of SMB payments and global payment systems, preferably gained through working for a bank, Fintech or payments player
  • Strong commercial acumen with the desire to own and drive sales success
  • Strong relationship skills and credibility to work with internal and external peers and more senior stakeholders
  • Comfort working in a complex multicultural matrix environment and ability to work through change
  • A strong degree of self-direction and accountability with focus on delivery
  • High orientation towards teamwork, good attitude towards cross functional working
  • Fluency in English with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Fluency in another language viewed favourably
