We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Security Officer.
In this role you will ensure the protection of information, critical systems, and digital operations for the Formula 1 Team, delivering operational continuity, safeguarding intellectual property (IP), and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Senior Security Officer will act as the go-to person for Cyber Security, designing and implementing security strategies, managing incidents, and coordinating prevention and response activities in a highly competitive, low-latency, high-availability environment.
Strategy & Governance- Define and implement the cybersecurity strategy aligned with team objectives and motorsport requirements.
- Maintain and update the Security Framework (GDPR, FIA regulations).
- Contribute to network and systems architecture design to ensure security by design.
- Implement advanced controls to protect CAD data, CFD simulations, power unit software, and telemetry.
- Monitor and prevent data exfiltration and insider threats.
- Coordinate the Security Operations Center (SOC) internal or external teams.
- Manage security incidents in real time during race weekends (race-critical response).
- Perform root cause analysis and implement mitigation plans.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and keep the risk register updated.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, FIA Technical Regulations, and partner cybersecurity requirements.
- Perform periodic audits and provide reports to the Management Board.
- Design and manage security awareness programs for employees, engineers, and management.
- Run phishing simulations and social engineering drills to strengthen internal resilience.
- Work closely with IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and Race Engineering teams.
- Coordinate with Technology partners and suppliers to ensure supply chain security.
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting to management and race teams for rapid decision-making.

- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or equivalent.
- Extensive years in IT security; experience in mission-critical fields (automotive, aerospace, F1, defense) preferred.
- Expertise in network architecture, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and advanced firewalling.
- Hands-on experience in Incident Response and Digital Forensics.
- Strong understanding of Cloud security (Oracle, Azure, AWS) and container security.
- Experience protecting hybrid OT/IT environments.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks.
