The Role

We are recruiting a Health & Safety Officer to support operations across ViS Security Solutions. You will be employed by ViS but work across projects in electrical engineering, facilities management, security systems, and fire safety. This is a practical, site-based role. You will be expected to work directly with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained on live sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on health and safety support to site teams and management
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks
  • Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements
  • Identify hazards and implement effective control measures
  • Develop and maintain safe systems of work for higher-risk activities
  • Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Ensure compliance with current H&S legislation and company procedures
  • Support ISO management systems where applicable
  • Monitor performance and contribute to reporting and improvement
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with company safety standards

Essential Criteria (Non-Negotiable)

  • NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Health and Safety
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven experience working on active construction or engineering sites
  • Right to live and work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)

Desirable

  • Experience in construction industry or within electrical, security systems, or facilities management environments
