Summary of Position You will be working in the Private Equity Practice with a direct line reporting to EVP Private Equity Practice and a dotted line reporting into the EMEA Head. You will be responsible for winning new Sponsor relationships and Port Co customers as assigned to you. You will be working on deals associated with the prospects, orchestrating the internal tools/competencies to showcase the company to your prospect and owning the opportunities that come along the way to respond. The success criteria are not only to close the MSA or any form of supplier enrolment agreement; but also, to win deals in BAU, key large deals from the prospect.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the Private Equity segment, identifying and targeting high-potential firms and portfolio companies across all investment stages.
- Qualify leads and manage the sales pipeline by collaborating with multi-disciplinary global teams, subject matter experts, marketing, and executive leadership.
- Conceptualize and launch customized marketing campaigns specifically designed for high-value prospects.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, ensuring the delivery of world-class, proactive proposals that clearly differentiate our services and build a robust pipeline.
- Drive complex, multi-year deals by leading collaborative efforts across global delivery, solution architecture, legal, and finance teams to ensure successful closure.
- Leverage industry expertise to articulate Virtusa’s value proposition in accelerating value creation, improving operational efficiency, and driving digital transformation for PE-backed enterprises.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and report sales performance metrics and deal progression directly to executive leadership.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to position offerings effectively and maintain a competitive edge.
- Promote and sell Virtusa’s specialized niche services and high-impact offerings.
- Achieve new logo acquisition targets established for the business unit.
Mandatory requirement
- A minimum of 12+ years of experience in a client facing sales role in the IT professional services or management consulting firm.
- At least 3–4 years of experience building and maintaining relationships with Private Equity firms to support value creation through Digital Engineering services.
- Must have experience in a quota carrying position.
- Must have proven record of adding new logo acquisition within the Private Equity sector.
- Experience with the global service delivery model.
- Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IT services, solutions, and market trends.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex business environments and drive change.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management / An MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management from a top-tier institute is preferred.
- Flexible for Travel.
