Job Summary
Working alongside the Senior Project Managers, the PM will be responsible for ensuring that the site projects proceed in line with contractor cost/programme and are aligned to the delivery dates for end-user customers. The PM will also be responsible for ensuring contract processes are followed and correctly applied. The role is a 3-year fixed-term contract located at the Saunderton Campus, a short distance from High Wycombe.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the employer’s representative and be responsible for the end-to-end construction delivery of the London project.
- Manage the project with all involved stakeholders in the construction phase.
- Manage and track construction milestones.
- Provide vendor oversight and performance management to deliver assigned projects.
- Review and approve vendor scope of work and design review of site and building/project plans.
- Manage compliance with audit results and recommendations.
- Monitor health and safety compliance of the works across the project.
- Prepare, submit and track all necessary project spend in line with the approved business case capex, and run change control on a weekly triage and then change control approval basis in line with project contingency.
- Provide project management support on any additional works and other sites where necessary.
Qualifications
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction project management, or construction management.
- 2–3 years’ minimum experience in data centre project design and construction with hyperscale data centre operators, lease providers or similar.
- PRINCE2, APM, MSP, or other project/programme management certification preferred.
- Design and Build contract strategy experience.
- Client or contractor-side data centre design, construction management experience.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to manage and work within a diverse and inclusive team environment delivering large-scale enterprise projects with both localised and virtual team structures.
- Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organisations with proven success in participating in cross-functional teams to deliver successfully.
