We are delighted to be opening a 2 bedded Ofsted registered, trauma informed home, in the quiet suburb of Mickleover, Derby. We are about enhancing the lives of the children we are supporting by providing needs led care, in a safe and stable living environment in which the children will have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. As a Senior Support Worker, you have the chance to develop your therapeutic management skills, supporting Support Workers, peers and children develop safe and nurturing relationships, role modelling therapeutic parenting/trauma informed practice and contributing to the overall management of the home, in both a regulatory and practice way.
To be eligible to apply for the role, you must demonstrate experience of working with children and young people who have been exposed to traumatic experiences and communicate this through challenging behaviour. You will have achieved a level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or be working towards) and be prepared to work a roster system including sleep overs. All applicants must hold a valid full UK driving licence.
