Software Solutions Architect needed for a technology consultancy specialising in delivering digital transformation programmes for clients across banking and financial services. Clients operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment, where evolving regulatory requirements, emerging trading products, and new banking initiatives continually drive the need for innovative technology solutions.

Hybrid working.

Software Solutions Architect : A background in technology consultancy, professional services, or a client-facing technology delivery environment. Strong understanding of modern software architecture principles, application integration, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based architectures.

• Experience working with clients in banking, financial services, capital markets, or a closely related regulated financial services environment.
• A track record of engaging directly with customers to understand requirements, shape solutions, and define the scope of technology initiatives.

As a Senior Software Solutions Architecty, you'll work closely with clients, you will play a key role in shaping these initiatives from the outset, helping them define their business and technical requirements, explore potential solutions, and translate their objectives into robust, scalable technology architectures.

This is a client-facing role that combines technical leadership, solution design, consultancy, and stakeholder engagement. You will work with customers to understand their challenges, scope new initiatives, lead technical discovery, develop proof of concepts (POCs), and define the solutions that underpin successful transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Software Solutions Architect

Client Engagement & Solution Discovery

• Work directly with banking and financial services clients to understand business objectives, technical challenges, and transformation priorities.
• Develop end‑to‑end software solution architectures that align with business requirements, technology strategy, and regulatory obligations.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs, architecture diagrams, solution proposals, and implementation roadmaps.

Proof of Concepts & Innovation

• Define and lead proof of concepts, prototypes, and technical spikes to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate feasibility.
• Assess new technologies and architectural approaches to support emerging business and regulatory requirements.
