This role sits at the heart of the trading environment, acting as an infrastructure SME for a globally distributed, high-frequency data platform that underpins real-time analytics and trading insight across multiple regions and cloud environments.
You will take ownership of performance, reliability, and scalability across the full infrastructure and data pipeline, working closely with engineering and trading technology teams on architecture, prioritisation, and continuous improvement, while collaborating with central infrastructure functions to uplift standards across the estate.
Operating in a complex multi-cloud environment, you will evaluate and onboard new providers, drive best-in-class infrastructure practices, and optimise low-latency performance through deep expertise in Linux and network stacks critical in a trading context. You will support the platform, with a strong focus on automation and reducing manual intervention to ensure a highly resilient, scalable platform.
This opportunity suits a Platform Engineer looking to operate in a fast-paced trading environment with direct exposure to front-office systems, combining infrastructure ownership with a strong engineering mindset and hands-on coding across languages such as Python, C#, Java, or Rust.
You will partner closely with development and trading technology teams to solve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges, playing a key role in shaping the tools, standards, and platforms that power trading systems, ultimately enabling faster, more reliable delivery to traders and the wider business.
