Senior C#/.NET Engineer | Trading Systems | London

We are working with an established financial services organisation seeking an experienced Senior C#/.NET Software Engineer to join its growing engineering function in London.

This is a hands-on technical role offering the opportunity to design, develop and enhance complex trading applications and business-critical systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering new technical initiatives, taking ownership of complex engineering challenges and contributing to architectural decisions.

This opportunity would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys remaining close to the code while taking on greater technical responsibility and influencing engineering direction.

Up to 115K base salary + bonus + benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance trading applications using C#/.NET.
• Build and enhance backend systems, APIs and business logic.
• Take ownership of technical projects from design through to delivery.
• Contribute to architecture, technical decisions and system improvements.
• Work closely with stakeholders and support other engineers.
• Explore opportunities to introduce AI and automation into engineering processes.

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong C#/.NET expertise.
• Strong backend development experience, including SQL, APIs and system design.
• Background in financial services, ideally trading systems or capital markets.
• Understanding of trading workflows, financial products or order management systems.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects and taking ownership of solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
