A leading Commodities Trading firm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep Metals experience (base metals, precious metals, or bulk commodities) to drive critical technology and business transformation initiatives across Front Office Trading and Operations. This is a high-impact role working at the intersection of Trading, Risk, Operations, and Technology, with strong exposure across the end-to-end metals trade lifecycle.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead requirements gathering and detailed process analysis across both Front Office and Operations workflows, working closely with Metals Traders to understand pricing, hedging strategies, and day-to-day trading activities. You will partner with Operations teams to gain a deep understanding of trade processing, settlements, and physical logistics flows, ensuring end-to-end coverage of the trade lifecycle.
A key part of your role will involve translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process maps, while driving alignment between business stakeholders and technology teams. You will also play an active role in UAT, implementation, and post-go-live optimisation, ensuring solutions deliver tangible business value.
In addition, you will proactively identify process inefficiencies, data gaps, and control weaknesses, recommending improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and risk management. You will be heavily involved in initiatives such as:
- Enhancing metals trading platforms (LME, OTC derivatives, physical trading)
- Improving real-time risk, P&L, and exposure reporting
- Supporting trade capture, logistics, and settlement processes
- Optimising post-trade operations
