A React.JS Lead Frontend Engineer is needed for a Software vendor that builds cross asset trading systems. The FinTech is building from the ground up a best in class, click & Trade, external facing, latency sensitive, trading application, using React.JS on the front end.
As a React.JS Lead Frontend Engineer, your role will be to come in and assess the current build, working very closely with cross-functional Lead Engineers to redesign parts of the system, and lead from the front in terms of the build. You will be responsible for developing new features for the public website and client portal. The website is built on GraphQL, React Apollo, GatsbyJS, and ReactJS.
This position is paying up to £130,000 + bonus + benefits. Located in London City, St Paul's, with 3 days per week from the office.
Responsibilities:- Designing, coding, and testing all components of modern web applications.
- Contributing to the overall architecture and design of the technology created/maintained by the delivery team.
- Prioritisation of tech debt vs greenfield requirements.
- Managing balance loads.
- Developing Web Trading Applications using ReactJS, Cypress, Jest, React Testing Library, Jenkins, AG Grid, React Hooks.
- Developing solutions to a high standard that is maintainable, testable and meets the requirements’ acceptance criteria.
- Adhering to development best practices and processes.
- Communicating with team members, introducing ideas, and keeping abreast of the latest technologies.
