My Energy Trading client is looking for Python Engineers who are looking to step directly into Data Engineering and have strong experience in Front Office Trading environments (asset class does not matter). This role would put you into the core part of the business enabling those in the front office/middle office to gain access to tools which provide them with data coming from ETRMs, data lakes and other data sources.
This is a high priority role which will provide a lot of ownership working on newer projects within the business which have not been expanded on until now. With this in mind, this role is not for someone who wants to build applications, but instead someone who wants to actually have an impact on Data Transformation. You will receive all training required to allow you to step into this role and will be provided with opportunity and tools to excel.
It is perfect for:
- Engineers in Front Office with strong Python exposure who want to work on data going forwards.
- It is not for someone who purely wants to build applications for Traders but instead wants to fuel the way they can source data at a quick speed.
- Gain ownership working in a high-impact role that is focused on making a difference to teams across both front office and middle office - it is a role where you would be one of the first in the business to do it.
- It is key that the person who works on this team understands Front Office terminology (swaps, options, futures, etc.) but also has exposure to some sort of data transformation already (this can be basic).
