My Energy Trading client is looking for Python Engineers who are looking to step directly into Data Engineering and have strong experience in Front Office Trading environments (asset class does not matter).
Responsibilities
- Work in the Core part of the business enabling front office/middle office to access tools and data from ETRMs, data lakes and other data sources.
- Own and contribute to data transformation projects with high impact across front office and middle office.
- Focus on data transformation rather than building standalone applications; contribute to new data-centric projects and tooling.
- Collaborate with teams to improve data sourcing speed and reliability for traders.
What this role is not
Not for someone who wants to build applications for Traders, but for someone who wants to have a direct impact on data transformation.
Profile Fit
- Front Office engineers with strong Python experience who want to work on data going forwards.
- Understand Front Office terminology (swaps, options, futures, etc.) and have exposure to data transformation (even basic).
