Senior Software Engineer with strong C# and .NET experience is needed for a financial services business with a well-established trading function. This is a high-visibility hire for someone with real technical depth, strong communication skills and a clear ambition to move into leadership.
You’ll be a key part of a growing engineering team, working as a trusted partner to the engineering lead and sitting close to the business. The technology you build is used daily by the people making trading decisions, so your work has an immediate and visible impact. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, build and enhance trading systems using C# and SQL Server, working side by side with traders and business stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into reliable, well-engineered solutions. You’ll have real influence over technical direction, from architecture and design decisions to how the team delivers, and you’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work from start to finish.
The business is also investing in how it uses AI, and wants engineers who are excited by it. You’ll have the chance to work with AI tooling, build agents and explore how they can improve the way the business operates. Key Requirements
- Strong, recent C# and .NET development experience at senior level (6-7+ years)
- Background in financial markets, ideally equities
- Experience building or supporting systems in a trading environment
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and agents, or a real appetite to adopt them
- Confident communicator who can work directly with traders and business stakeholders
- Strong personality and energy, with the ambition to grow into technical leadership
