A Front Office C# .NET Developer is required to join a high-performing integration team within one of the world's leading energy trading firms, based in their Victoria office in London. Energy trading is one of the most exciting and consequential sectors in technology today. The energy transition, volatile global markets, and increasing complexity of trading operations are driving significant investment in C# .NET engineering, and this firm sits right at the heart of that transformation.

This is not a back‑office support role or a siloed development position. It is a front‑office seat, working closely with traders and directly influencing the systems and data they rely on to make real‑time trading decisions. The opportunity is twofold. In the near term, you will play a key role in integrating a recently acquired US business into the firm's existing technology ecosystem. This is a genuinely complex, high‑impact programme involving the integration of ETRM platforms, SAP, and CreditCube across two organisations. As the project matures, the role will naturally evolve into a broader front‑office development position, placing you at the centre of one of the most dynamic energy trading businesses in the market.

If you want to build technology that genuinely matters, work alongside the front office, and develop deep expertise within a sector that is helping shape the future of global markets, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Team

You will join the C# .NET Integration Team, which sits within a wider Front Office Technology function that has expanded significantly following a recent US acquisition. The team works closely with trading, operations, and technology stakeholders across multiple regions. The role combines hands‑on development with production support responsibilities and requires someone who can demonstrate initiative, ownership, and leadership.

Location

Hybrid Working | Victoria, London.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the integration of a recently acquired US business into the firm's existing front‑office technology landscape.
  • Design and develop scalable C# .NET backend services supporting ETRM platforms and trading workflows.
  • Build and maintain integrations across Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity between critical business systems.
  • Collaborate closely with traders and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of support responsibilities, ensuring key front‑office systems remain stable, performant, and reliable.
  • Contribute to the long‑term evolution of the front‑office technology function as the integration programme progresses.
  • Drive delivery with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, helping to shape both technical solutions and team direction.

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial experience as a C# .NET Developer, ideally within a front‑office, trading, or financial services environment.
  • Proven backend development experience using C# and .NET.
  • Experience working within energy, commodities, or financial trading environments.
  • Exposure to ETRM platforms or front‑office trading systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience delivering solutions within business‑critical or operationally critical environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • The ability to operate independently and take ownership.

Desired Experience

  • Direct front‑office development experience within energy or commodities trading.
  • Experience integrating SAP, CreditCube, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Experience working on large‑scale system integration or migration programmes.
  • Strong understanding of energy or commodities trading workflows.
  • Knowledge of ETRM platforms and associated front‑office data flows.

This role offers the opportunity to combine cutting‑edge C# .NET development with real‑world business impact, working at the intersection of technology and energy trading within a market‑leading organisation.
