This is a Front Office Business Analyst needed for an energy and commodities trading house that is growing their Front-Office function. They are revolutionising their trading expertise with advanced analytics, digital capability and a strong focus on innovation.

As this Front-office Business Analyst, you will be part of a business critical team through continuous delivery and constant improvement of Front Office IT and practices. This Business Analyst will work across EU Power and Gas markets and be heavily involved in pre-trade analytics. This includes eliciting, analysing, and documenting complex modelling and forecasting requirements, including supply–demand balances, price forecasting, and scenario modelling across European and global energy markets.

This Business Analyst role will sit with traders and the Front Office IT team to analyse business requirements, define solutions, and support the delivery of high-quality trading and analytics tools, within the fast-paced environment. The focus is on pre-trade analytics and helping enhance the prior systems capability.

As this Front Office Business Analyst, you will also work with energy analysts, quants, data scientists & data engineers to ensure advanced modelling outputs are integrated into trading workflows, reporting and downstream processes.

Skills required:

  • Experience in energy analytics and fundamental forecasting, including scenario modelling across short-, mid- and long-term horizons.
  • Proven experience in energy analytics and fundamental forecasting, including scenario modelling across short-, mid- and long-term horizons.
  • Understanding of feature engineering, statistical modelling, and ML model training workflows, with the ability to translate business requirements into model-ready datasets.
