A leading asset manager is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to support and enhance its enterprise database platforms, ensuring stability, resilience, and performance across mission‑critical systems used by investment, operations, and risk teams.

You will optimise database configurations and queries to support low‑latency, high‑throughput workloads and coordinate environment refreshes and data replication across development, UAT, and production environments to maintain consistency and availability.

Implementing and maintaining robust backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies, as well as participating in failover testing and incident response processes, will also be essential. Additionally, you will apply patches, manage upgrades, and enforce configuration standards in alignment with infrastructure change controls and regulatory requirements. Developing automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell and T‑SQL will help streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention.
