One of the leading Trading Houses (FX) in London are looking for a Junior C++ Developer with some Python to support the front office teams in the business. This is a quite unique opportunity because it is one where you will be working front office with stakeholders (e.g. traders, analysts) on requirements provided by the business and help to build them out for their front office trading desks. This is an opportunity to actually join the Financial Services and become a Quant Developer going forwards which is something that is not commonly attainable in this sector. As such, they are looking for a strong educational background in terms of Mathematical subjects but also commercial experience in C++ for at least 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering high-quality services using C++ and Python, developing software from scratch rather than simple scripting (experience with OOP is important)
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust, well-architected solutions
- Supporting the evolution of system architecture and best practices
Tech Stack & Experience Required
- Strong C++ engineering experience (1+ years)
- Exposure to OOP is hugely beneficial
- Knowledge of trading environments is a BIG bonus but it is by no means necessary (last few hires weren't Financial background)
- Solid communication skills - able to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Up to £75,000 base salary + strong bonus
- Hybrid working: 2/3 days in the office, 2/3 days remote
