An artificial intelligence scale-up specialising in the private equity sector is hiring a Cloud Engineer to build and maintain a secure, scalable, highly available cloud platform. Their technology enables clients to unlock value from vast amounts of proprietary data, transforming information from multiple systems into a trusted source that can be leveraged by both users and AI-driven applications. With a strong focus on security, governance and reliability, the business is experiencing significant growth and is continuing to invest heavily in its cloud infrastructure.
This is the first seat whose whole job is the platform, and a founding seat with the same standing as our other founding engineers. It is an engineering role, you write the code and configuration that make our security promises true, rather than mapping controls on paper.
This company is building a cloud-native platform used by enterprise clients operating in highly regulated environments. A key focus of the engineering team is creating a deployment framework that allows the platform to be securely and consistently deployed across multiple cloud providers while meeting strict operational, security and availability requirements. Current initiatives include automating cloud infrastructure, enhancing platform scalability, improving deployment processes and ensuring environments can be provisioned and managed efficiently for a growing customer base.
What they are looking for:
- Strong background in cloud, platform, infrastructure or DevOps engineering within production environments, with a hands-on approach to automation and software development rather than purely operational support.
- Proven experience owning and delivering significant technical initiatives, such as platform modernisation, cloud transformation, deployment automation, reliability improvements or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with modern cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code and containerised environments, coupled with a security-first mindset and an appreciation for governance, resilience and operational best practices.
Office and Salary:
- Based in Central London, two to three days a week in office
- Up to £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits
