An ICT Technician is required to join a growing IT function within a leading provider of compliance and energy services. This is a dynamic, hands-on role offering the opportunity to provide both remote and on-site technical support across a multi-site organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT services, taking ownership of incidents and working through to resolution. This position offers a broad scope, allowing you to contribute ideas, support infrastructure, and gain exposure to a wide range of technologies within a supportive environment.

The Role

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support across hardware and software environments
  • Act as an escalation point for Service Desk colleagues
  • Log, manage, and resolve incidents in line with ITIL service management processes
  • Troubleshoot issues and aim for first-time resolution in line with SLAs
  • Maintain ownership of tickets, ensuring clear communication with users
  • Support and monitor ICT infrastructure, escalating where required
  • Assist with hardware, system administration, and telephony support
  • Provide guidance to users on the effective and secure use of IT systems
  • Contribute to reporting, analysis, and continuous service improvement
  • Stay informed on planned changes and infrastructure updates

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an IT Support / 2nd Line / ICT Technician role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software
  • Experience working within ITIL-based environments
  • Excellent communication skills with a user-focused approach
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • Experience with ticketing systems and SLAs
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills

Certifications / Requirements

  • ITIL Foundation (preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ / Network+ (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
