A Full Stack Python Engineer with React (or Angular) front-end experience is required by a leading systematic energy trading firm, specialising in Commodities, Energy, and Equities trade execution.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a strategic risk system that automates and enhances complex risk calculations and reporting across counterparty, market, credit, and operational risk. This is a high-impact opportunity in a data-intensive, Front Office environment.
You'll be building scalable, production-grade tools for traders and risk analysts, replacing legacy Excel/Python workflows with a fully integrated, modern risk platform. As the first engineering hire for this build-out, you’ll have significant influence over system architecture and technology choices.
Key Responsibilities:- Full-stack development with Python (backend) and React or Angular (frontend)
- Building out a platform for automated risk and trade management
- Working closely with Front Office and Risk teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Centralising risk and trade data to improve reporting and visualisation
- Collaborating across trading desks and business stakeholders
- Strong Python development skills, ideally within a trading, data, or risk environment
- Solid experience with React or Angular
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders
- £100k+ base salary
- 20% discretionary bonus (with potential to exceed based on performance)
- 25 days holiday + private medical insurance
- Hybrid working: 3 days in-office (London), 2 days remote
