I am looking for a Node.js focused engineer for a Trading House that builds cross asset trading systems. They are expanding their Market Making capability and need some extra hands on deck currently.
This desk will be covering completely new asset classes, meaning a lot of opportunities to work on greenfield opportunities and make an impact across the whole business on large-scale projects.
It is also a chance to collaborate closely with some of the top stakeholders within the business and influence the decision-making process in engineering. There are 2 roles available, one being more focused on Node.js and the other on C# with the focus on moving it over to Node.js.
As a Node.js Developer, your role will be to build out new asset platforms, working closely with market makers to redesign parts of the system and lead from the front in terms of the build. You will be responsible for developing new features for the public website and client portal.
This role is paying up to £130,000 on the top end + bonus + benefits (depending on experience), located in London City, St Paul's, with 3 days per week from the office.
Technologies: Node.js (and C# potentially), Typescript, GraphQL, React.js (bonus)
Responsibilities of the Backend Developer:
- Designing, coding, and testing all components of modern web applications.
- Contributing to the overall architecture and design of the technology created/maintained by the delivery team.
- Developing Web Trading Applications using Node.js and React.js (or shifting over from C#).
- Developing solutions to a high standard that is maintainable, testable and meets the requirements’ acceptance criteria.
- Adhering to development best practices and processes.
- Communicating with team members, introducing ideas, and keeping abreast of the latest technologies.
