A Business Analyst is required for an innovative renewable energy company that has been driving the transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable future through cutting-edge technology and digital energy solutions.

The organisation continues to expand its product offering and modernise its technology landscape, they are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering business-critical transformation projects across customer platforms, operational systems and digital products.

Working closely with product, technology and business stakeholders, you'll be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions, ensuring products are aligned with commercial objectives while improving operational efficiency and customer experience.

The Role

As the Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between business and technology, owning the full business analysis lifecycle from requirements gathering through to delivery and UAT support.

The Business Analyst will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and key business stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure successful delivery of new digital capabilities.

You'll be involved in analysing current business processes, defining functional requirements, mapping user journeys and helping shape the product roadmap through informed business insight.

  • 2-3 days per week in the London office
  • Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements from stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and engineering teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Analyse and optimise existing business processes to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to define priorities and project scope.
  • Support solution design, ensuring technology aligns with business objectives.
  • Assist with testing activities including SIT and UAT to ensure successful implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews and process enhancements.
  • Manage requirements and delivery using Agile methodologies and Azure Dev Ops or similar tools.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering technology and digital transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working within Agile environments.
  • Excellent requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills.
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
  • Exposure to Azure Dev Ops, Jira or similar delivery tools.
  • Previous experience within the renewable energy, utilities, sustainability or wider energy sector would be highly advantageous.
  • A commercially minded individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
