Business Analyst | Energy – Cross Asset Trading | London, Hybrid | up to £105K + Bonus
A leading European energy company is seeking a passionate and talented Business Analyst to join their IT team with a specific focus on supporting the derivatives business stream. Within this the main areas include supplying energy to customers, energy trading, gas transportation and the operation of gas storage facilities. Headquartered in London, they are an agile multi-commodity trader and trading partner.
Business knowledge around the middle-office compliance is critical for this role, this includes a strong understanding of risk, settlements, treasury. As a Business Analyst, you will be required to perform extensive hands-on work that covers the cross-asset trading activity, understanding trading lifecycle and the data needed from the middle office, to develop extensive system and app knowledge of the trades.
The Business Analyst Role:
The business analyst role is responsible for analysis of business requirements and working with developers to test and release solutions. The role involves defining requirements, proposing solutions, and building consensus among stakeholders. You\’ll work closely with developers to deliver these requirements and support UAT, while also providing third-line support to traders. Collaboration with the middle office is key to ensuring IT drives revenue and aligns with expectations. This business analyst role also includes identifying improvements and recommending solutions to stakeholders. You will have a have a strong relationship with business stakeholders having built up trust over several years of successful delivery. The team delivers change continuously with multiple releases per week and we are now looking for a Business Analyst to join a friendly team with growing responsibility.
