  • I am looking for a skilled

BMS Support Engineer to join my clients Data Centre Support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced controls engineer who enjoys fault finding, customer interaction and working with critical building services systems.

You’ll be responsible for keeping BMS and building control systems operating reliably across customer sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns and completing remedial works.

As a BMS Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers’ building control systems remain reliable, efficient and fully operational.

You’ll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with agreed SLAs, alongside routine inspections, diagnostics and performance checks across BMS/BEMS systems and associated mechanical plant.

You’ll be responsible for responding to reactive service calls, investigating system failures, identifying faults and carrying out small repairs, modifications and remedial works where required.

A strong focus on systematic fault finding will be essential, using your technical knowledge to identify issues across BMS controls, plant, controllers, sensors and associated equipment.

You’ll also produce clear and concise service reports following maintenance visits, ensuring all technical findings, repairs and customer interactions are accurately documented and submitted within agreed KPIs.

Maintaining accurate maintenance schedules, trackers and service records will form an important part of the role, as will working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.

You’ll also participate in an on‑call rota, providing emergency and breakdown support when required.

Key Skills

  • Previous experience working within the

BMS / BEMS / Building Controls industry .

  • Good knowledge of

Schneider Eco Struxure .

  • Experience with

Tridium, Trend / IQVision or ALC would be advantageous, although training can be provided.

  • A sound understanding of mechanical plant and building services .
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Experience working within

Data Centre environments is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider engineering team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A valid

CSCS skills card or equivalent .

  • The flexibility to participate in an on‑call rota.
