Beacon platform SME | Cross Asset Trading House | £1400/Day Inside IR35 | 12 months rolling | Hybrid, LDN Beacon Platform SME is needed for a leading global financial services firm specialising in market access, trading, and risk management across commodities, financial markets, and investment products, is seeking a Beacon Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) contractor. This role requires deep expertise in the Beacon platform to develop and optimise quantitative models, spearhead POC initiatives, and mentor the team in utilising Beacon’s Python-based environment, including Gromit and dependency graphs. Strong proficiency in Python, experience with C++ for quant libraries, and familiarity with Beacon’s UI framework (Python integrated with React) are essential for success in this position. Day Rate – £1300 – £1400 p/d inside IR35 Hybrid Working – 2 days p/w onsite. Closest station is Liverpool Street 12 months rolling contract Required Skills: Beacon Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Beacon.io platform, including experience with its development environment and tools for building financial models.Python Programming: Proficiency in Python, with a focus on Beacon’s specific flavor and frameworks like Gromit, and experience in writing and optimising Python code for quantitative models. Quantitative Modelling: Strong background in coding and developing quantitative models, with the ability to implement complex financial algorithms and strategies within the Beacon platform. Proof of Concept (POC) Development: Experience in exploring, designing, and executing POCs to demonstrate and validate new ideas or approaches within the platform. User Interface Development: Experience with Beacon’s UI framework, particularly Python wrapped around React, for building user-facing components. C++ Knowledge: Ability to work with C++ quant libraries, including writing Python bindings to interface with C++ code. Preferred Skills: Financial Market Knowledge: Understanding of trading, risk management, and financial market structures, with the ability to apply this knowledge to develop practical solutions Agile Methodologies: Experience working within an agile development environment, managing tasks, and collaborating in a fast-paced setting.
